Fr. John Harvey will be speaking on homosexuality and in particular on the topic of "helping the homosexual orientated person to be chaste" at 1.30pm this coming Saturday the 8th of September in the RDS in Dublin.


Fr John Harvey set up the group Courage in 1980 and to date is the only Catholic ministry to help homosexual men and women live chastely. It now has has 54 chapters in the US and groups in Canada, Philippines, England and Ireland.

The Goals of Courage

  1. To live chaste lives in accordance with Catholic teaching on homosexuality.

  2. To dedicate one's life to Christ through service to others, spiritual reading, prayer, meditation, individual spiritual direction, frequent attendance at Mass, and the frequent reception of the sacraments of Penance and Holy Eucharist.

  3. To come together regularly to talk and pray.

  4. To develop healthy chaste relationships.

  5. To live lives that may serve as good examples to others.
